使用 Turnitin 自行檢測，文稿會唔會存入資料庫？If I use Turnitin to check my own work, will the document be stored in the database?
唔會。本站採用 No Repository 模式提交，文稿只用於產生當次比對報告，唔會寫入 Turnitin 的學生論文資料庫，因此正式提交時唔會出現「自己比對到自己」的情況。
No. Every submission is sent in No Repository mode, so your file is used only to produce that one report and is never stored in the Turnitin student paper database — your own draft will not be matched against you later.
相似度百分比多少才算安全？What similarity percentage is considered safe?
香港多數院校要求相似度指數不超過 15% 至 20%。一般而言 15% 以下屬安全範圍，15% 至 30% 需要檢視引用是否規範，30% 以上建議在提交前完成改寫。
實際門檻仍以所屬課程的規定為準，部分課程或期刊投稿會要求低於 10%。
Most Hong Kong universities ask for a similarity index below 15–20%. Under 15% is usually safe, 15–30% means you should check whether your citations are done properly, and above 30% should be rewritten before you submit. Some courses and journal submissions require under 10%, so always follow your own course rules.
AI 檢測同論文查重分別係咩？What's the difference between AI detection and plagiarism checking?
兩者查嘅係唔同嘅嘢。AI 檢測（AI 率）查「係咪 AI 寫」，論文查重（相似度）查「同唔同其他文章重複」。兩者可以同時存在，Report 上通常係兩個獨立指標。
They answer different questions. An ai detector estimates how much of a text was written by AI, while a similarity (plagiarism) check compares your text against existing sources. Both can apply at the same time, and a report usually shows them as two separate scores.
呢個工具係咪 Turnitin 官方？Is this tool official Turnitin?
唔係。本平台為獨立第三方工具，與 Turnitin, Inc. 無任何關聯；檢測結果僅供參考，不等同你院校嘅判定。

香港大學生最常用邊個系統？Which system do Hong Kong university students use most?
香港院校主要用 Turnitin（國際通用，含 AI 檢測）與 VeriGuide（中大開發、多間院校採用嘅中文原創性系統）。
Hong Kong institutions mainly use Turnitin (a global standard that includes AI detection) and VeriGuide (a Chinese-language originality system developed by CUHK and adopted by several local universities).
提交後多久可以取得報告？How long after submission can I get the report?
一般文稿在 3 至 10 分鐘內完成比對並可下載 PDF 報告。若字數較多，或正值院校截止日前的提交高峰，處理時間可能延長至 30 分鐘。
Most papers are matched within 3 to 10 minutes and the PDF report is ready to download. Very long documents, or the rush right before a university deadline, can take up to 30 minutes.
支援哪些檔案格式？Which file formats are supported?
支援 .docx 格式的 Word 文件，亦可直接貼上正文文字進行檢測。建議提交前移除頁眉頁腳與無關附件，以免影響字數計算。
We accept Word files in .docx format, or you can paste your text straight into the box. Remove headers, footers and unrelated attachments first so the word count stays accurate.
可以使用哪些付款方式？What payment methods are available?
支援支付寶與微信支付掃碼付款，價格以港幣計價，頁面會即時顯示金額。付款完成後可使用訂單號查詢檢測狀態並下載報告。
You can pay by scanning a QR code with Alipay or WeChat Pay. Prices are quoted in Hong Kong dollars and the reference amount is shown on the page. Once payment is done, use your order number to check the status and download the report.
